From first call to first commit

Describe the role

A 30-minute call about your stack and the first piece of work the developer would take on.

Interview the developer

We put forward someone from our team who fits. You interview them like any other candidate, technical round included. The decision is yours.

They join your team

They work in your repository, ticket tracker, and team chat, and attend standups. Your lead sets priorities and reviews their code.

Add or reduce developers

Add another developer when the backlog grows, or end the engagement when the work is done. The notice period is set in the contract before anyone starts.

04Who does what

They work like your own engineers, on our contract

A developer placed with you takes tickets from your board, and their pull requests go through the same review as everyone else’s. Your lead directs their work day to day.

The developer stays on our team, so the contract is with us. If the fit isn’t right, we talk it through with you and, if needed, propose someone else.

Questions, answered

On a regular project, we run the delivery. We plan and build the system for a fixed quote, then hand it over. When you hire a developer, your team runs it: the developer works inside your team, and your lead decides what gets built. There's no project manager from our side and no fixed scope.
